Public Space and Events Waste Diversion
The Solid Waste Reduction and Diversion Plan provides clear actions the City can take to support our vision for waste management. It directly supports Saskatoon's Civic Vision and strategic goals outlined in The Official Community Plan Bylaw, 2020. This project focuses on closing the gap in the City’s organic waste diversion programs which currently includes the residential green cart program, organic waste diversion for businesses, a pilot program for multi-unit residences and the residential drop-off program at the Compost Depot.
This project is funded in part by Environment and Climate Change Canada.
