Holiday Park and King George - Traffic Calming

The City of Saskatoon is reviewing traffic calming measures for Avenue I South and Avenue J South from 11th Street West to 12th Street West.

Implementation of recommendations postponed to Spring/Summer 2026 due to construction on 11th Street.

Based on the results of the survey, a northbound closure on Avenue I South is recommended, (as shown below). The closure will be installed temporarily via rubber curbs and the mid-block pinch point will be removed. These changes are anticipated to take place this fall. The closure is expected to be in place for a minimum of one year to assess its effectiveness. If the closure is found to be effective, it will be installed permanently in concrete, as funding allows.
