Proposed Zoning Bylaw Amendments – Placement of Billboard Structures on Right-of-Way
What is being proposed?
Currently, The Zoning Bylaw, No. 9990 permits billboards within certain zoning districts and generally does not allow them to be placed on right-of-way/boulevards.
The proposed locations are:
- Highway 7, south of 22nd St W
- 22nd St W and Confederation Drive
- Attridge Drive and Preston Avenue
If approved, this proposal would result in amendments to the bylaw to allow for the placement of billboards at identified locations within right-of-way/boulevards.
Notwithstanding the location, the other development standards required of billboards are required to be met.
